I am highly experienced in procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and capsule endoscopy with well over 10,000 procedures performed. I perform screening for colon cancer as well as other GI cancers. With my background in geriatric medicine I'm able to provide a more balanced approach to care in this sometimes challenging group of individuals. My public health experience helps me to consider possible social and environmental aspects affecting an individual's health. I have worked hand-in-hand with the Baltimore County Department of Health to obtain colon cancer screening for individuals without health insurance. I have had the opportunity to work with many smart, talented, extremely hardworking men and women in the healthcare field and have been humbled by their dedication to good patient care. I learn from these people every day. Since transitioning into the field of Public Health in April 2021, I have had the opportunity to witness the the ravages of the COVID pandemic and during 2023 Delta County, Michigan experienced the largest recorded outbreak of Blastomycosis, a fungal respiratory pathogen, in US history with over 120 cases in paper mill workers occurring over a course of five months.
